Development for clinical staff

Clinical staff bands 1-4

We offer a supported training programme for trainee health care assistants which includes the national Care Certificate.  Opportunities exist for clinical staff in bands 1-4 to further develop their knowledge and skills by undertaking apprenticeships e.g. assistant practitioner or support worker.

Pre-registration learners

We support a range of pre-registration learners – adult and child health nurses, midwives, ODPs, diagnostic and therapeutic radiographers, clinical scientists, paramedics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and dieticians.

We work in partnership with Higher Education Institutes enabling students to link theory with practice in a range of high quality learning environments.  Students are supported to develop competence and confidence and the skills required to be an effective registered practitioner.

“ I received a large amount of support and encouragement during this placement. Excellent team work.

Many learning opportunities.”

International nurses

We have implemented a programme to support new nurses who are undergoing the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s programme for nurses who have trained outside the European Union.
