Apprenticeships at ESNEFT

We work in partnership with a range of high quality local learning providers to offer a wide selection of apprenticeship opportunities.

An apprenticeship sets people up to achieve their long-term career aspirations. We offer apprenticeships to all, from school leavers looking for their first step in the health service through to existing employees who want to enhance their prospects.

All our apprentices are highly motivated, reliable, and passionate about the delivery of high quality healthcare.

We offer a wide range of apprenticeship qualifications, including:

  • Nursing Associate
  • Maintenance technician
  • Carpentry
  • Business administration
  • Laboratory technician
  • Pharmacy assistant
  • IT technician
  • Project management

All apprenticeships are undertaken with full support from your line manager and the apprenticeship team.  Some are fully workplace based, some require attendance at college or university, but all are completed alongside your role as part of your weekly working hours. Apprenticeships generally take between 12-36 months to complete, depending on the level.

During your apprenticeship, you will be supported by an assessor and you will undertake a combination of workshops, distance learning and self study.

Complete your apprenticeship and you’ll be eligible and supported to apply for a substantive post at ESNEFT.
