Drive to work at ESNEFT

Car parking at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals uses an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system that records your number plate as you enter and exit. This means no paper permits.

Apply for a car park permit on the CPP website (Opens in a new window).

Please note that until you have a parking permit approved, you must not park in the staff car parks.  You will receive a fine for parking without a valid car parking permit.

The permit process is priority-based. Staff with the highest priority for parking will receive a permit. If you have your permit application declined, the Travel team can help you find alternative ways to get to work.

The cost of parking in staff car parks is based on your salary, so colleagues who earn more, pay more. The daily cost for a band 2 member of staff is 46p. It’s 67p for a band 5, £1.11 for an 8a, 93p for a junior doctor and £2.43 for a consultant.
