I completed my medical training in Oxford and London. I undertook SHO training in Cambridge rotation before completing training in Cardiology in the Eastern Deanery. I have also completed an interventional fellowship in Bergen, Norway.
My sub-specialty interest is in interventional cardiology, and I also contribute to the general cardiology and pacemaker services at Ipswich Hospital.

I qualified from Leicester University and trained in cardiology in the Eastern Deanery rotation at Papworth, Addenbrookes and Hinchingbrookes Hospital.
I have a particular interest in cardiac rhythm problems and pacemaker therapy.
I undertake diagnostic coronary angiography and general cardiology outpatient and inpatient services at Ipswich Hospital.

I have worked for Colchester Hospital since 2013 and have trained and worked at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre since 2007. I care for patients with the full range of cardiac diseases, including chest pain, heart failure and arrhythmia.
I manage inpatients at Colchester hospital for all conditions. I undertake specialist device implantation and follow up at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre. I am part of the on call device team for the whole Essex region for emergency pacing and device problems.
I trained in arrhythmia, ablation and device implantation at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre and undertook a one year fellowship in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have worked in the Trust since 2006. I specialise in chest pain (angina), breathlessness (heart failure), palpitations (arrhythmias), high blood pressure and cholesterol, murmurs (heart valve disease), blackouts (syncope).
I have also worked at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre, Basildon and The Oaks Hospital, Colchester. I completed my training at Glasgow University, Western Infirmary of Glasgow, University College London (Middlesex Hospital, The Heart Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital).

I graduated from the University of Manchester Medical School in 1997. After obtaining the MRCP diploma in 2000, I worked as a senior SHO in Cardiology at Ninewells Hospital. I completed a British Heart Foundation funded study in Heart Failure which led to a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Dundee.
I have worked as a Cardiology registrar at the James Cook Hospital, the Freeman Hospital, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Ipswich Hospital and Papworth Hospital. I have been a Consultant Cardiologist at Ipswich Hospital since February 2012.

I am a Consultant cardiologist with sub-specialty training in coronary intervention. I have been employed as a Consultant at Ipswich Hospital since 2006.
I work at Ipswich Hospital three days a week (Monday, Thursday and Friday), where I perform ward rounds, cardiology outpatients and diagnostic cardiac catheterisation procedures.
For 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday), I work at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, where I undertake percutaneous coronary intervention, including emergency PPCI, and ASD/PFO closure.

I qualified in Medicine from Imperial College, London with an intercalated degree in Cardiovascular Sciences at the National Heart and Lung Institute. My junior doctor and cardiology specialist training included posts at Harefield Hospital, Addenbrooke’s, Papworth and Glenfield hospitals. I worked in Intensive Care Medicine at Guys and St Thomas’, and St George’s hospitals.
I treat cardiology inpatients and outpatients. I subspecialise in multimodality cardiac imaging, performing complex echocardiography and cardiac MRI. I hold international accreditation in both modalities.
I teach echocardiography at the British Cardiovascular Society conference. I have been an invited speaker at the British Society of Echocardiography. I teach at regional training days in the East of England.
I joined Ipswich Hospital and The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre in November 2018.
I am a co-investigator for a multi-centre research study (EVAREST) led by the University of Oxford.

I previously worked for Basildon and Thurrock University Hospital as a Cardiologist and also at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.


Naveed Razvi

I completed my advanced imaging and echocardiography training in Cardiff, Leicester and the USA. I am the Head of Cardiac Imaging and the Medical Lead for mortality and morbidity governance in Ipswich hospital.
I am part of the team developing the coronary CT service at Nuffield hospital, Ipswich. I am delighted to care for patients, and specialise in the investigation and treatment of chest pains, heart failure, General Cardiology and General Medicine.

I have been working as a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at Ipswich and Papworth Hospitals since October 2013. My medical training was at the University of Cambridge and my Cardiology training was mainly at Papworth Hospital.
As well as managing all aspects of general Cardiology problems in both inpatients and outpatients, I subspecialise in Interventional Cardiology. This involves performing coronary artery stenting procedures at Ipswich Hospital and also at Papworth Hospital where I contribute to the 24 hour acute heart attack service.

I qualified from Cambridge University and trained in teaching centres in London. I joined Colchester Hospital as a Consultant 15 years ago. I initially worked at Colchester and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals but now work at Colchester, Ipswich and the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.
I cover diagnosis and treatment of all Cardiology conditions but specialise in diagnosis and treatment of chest pain, angina and heart attacks. As Clinical Lead for the Essex Cardiac Network I helped to develop the Heart Attack Centre and services at The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre.

I am an experienced Consultant Cardiologist appointed at Ipswich and Papworth Hospitals in 2010. At Ipswich Hospital I undertake clinics, Cardiac Catheterisation and Pacemaker implantation. Additionally I work at Papworth Hospital every Monday undertaking Complex Device implantation.
The quality of my clinical work and role in developing cardiac services has been recognised with the award of a Clinical Excellence Award (CEA) in 2013, 2015, and in 2017. My sub-speciality interest is in Cardiac Rhythm Management.
In 2013 I was awarded European Heart Rhythm Society accreditation in both Cardiac pacing and Electrophysiology.
