I have worked at the Trust since September 2010.

I have worked in Colchester Hospital since 2012. Prior to this job I worked in Good Hope Hospital, Heart of England, Birmingham for 6 months. I worked in an Emergency Mobile Service, Resuscitation and Extrication (SMURD) in Romania for 7 years.

This pre-hospital position complemented the clinical duties performed within the Emergency Department at the Emergency Clinical Hospital Bucharest, Romania (the main trauma centre in Romania’s capital.)

I was also involved in ITU Neurosurgery and ITU Thoracic surgery for an extensive period of time. I trained and qualified in Romania (equivalent to FRCEM/MRCEM).

I qualified in Medicine at University of Semmelweis in 2007. I finished my emergency medicine speciality training in London. I completed my subspecialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine in Royal London Hospital.

I joined Colchester Hospital in August 2020as an Emergency Medicine Consultant. In this role I provided care for both adults and children. I am the clinical lead of the Children’s Emergency Department.

I have been a Consultant in Ipswich Hospital since 2009. I am the clinical lead for Emergency Medicine.

I was appointed as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Ipswich Hospital in 1996. I was clinical chair of Emergency Medicine, Acute Medicine and Cardiology at Ipswich from 2005 to 2008. I have been chair of the Trauma Delivery Group since 2010.

I am an examiner at the Final Fellowship College of Emergency Medicine. I am an instructor in ATLS and emergency medicine simulation. I am course director of ALS, APLS and GIC. I am chair and programme director of the regional training committee in sport and exercise medicine, East of England Deanery 2012 to date.

I have also been a Cambridge University clinical tutor since 2004. I am the UK chair for emergency medicine at St George’s International School of Medicine in Grenada.

I have been a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Ipswich Hospital since 2012.

I have worked at the Trust since April 2012.

I qualified from University of Leeds Medical School in 1994. I trained in Emergency Medicine in Yorkshire, completing training in 2008. I moved home to Ipswich from my Consultant post in Northern Ireland in January 2016.
