I have worked in the Trust since 2009. I run a Parkinson’s clinic at both Colchester and Clacton hospital. I work closely with the Parkinson’s nurses to help provide holistic care to patients in hospital as well as the community.
I am also interested in developing frailty pathways for elderly patients to provide prompt comprehensive assessment of frail elderly patients and safe discharge to the patient’s own home.

I completed my specialty training in Geriatric medicine and General internal medicine in London. I worked at Lister Hospital, Barnet Hospital, University College Hospital, St Pancras Hospital, and North Middlesex Hospital.
I have been in the Trust since 2016. I work as a Consultant on Woodbridge Ward, the Frailty Assessment Base and in the community at Felixstowe Hospital. I have a keen interest in medical education. My role involves enhancing integrated care and community care to support elderly care to live healthier and independent lives.
I have a special interest in Future Hospital, Hospital at Home, Discharge to Assess, Interface Geriatrics and Frailty. I work with a multidisciplinary team of therapists and specialist nurses to support elderly people to live independently in the community.

I have been working at Ipswich Hospital since December 2016. Prior to that I worked as Consultant Physician and Geriatrician at Colchester Hospital for 6 years.
I cover a large variety of medical conditions and conditions specific for older people like falls, frailty, confusion, multiple coexisting medical conditions and poly pharmacy (too many drugs).
I completed specialist training in the East of England and rotated through Ipswich Hospital, Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge and West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.

I graduated from Leicester Medical School in 2006. I completed my specialty training in Geriatric Medicine on the North Central London Deanery taking a sabbatical at Bankstown Hospital, Sydney, Australia.
I have an interest in medical education and work as a Consultant on the Constable Suite, Frailty Assessment Base and in the community.

I have been a Consultant at Ipswich since 2005. I am the clinical lead for Older People’s services. My specialist interest is Falls and orthogeriatrics and I also run the Tilt Table service.
I am based on the Fragility Fracture Ward (Saxmundham) and work closely with orthopaedic and rheumatology colleagues to provide care for older people admitted with hip fractures.

I graduated from Liverpool Medical School. I took up speciality training in Acute Medicine in the London Deanery for four years as a registrar. This developed my passion in the care of the older person. I completed my second speciality training in geriatric medicine in the eastern region. I joined the team at Ipswich in 2018 as a consultant in geriatric and general internal medicine.
I currently work as a consultant in the Constable suite, our complex care unit. I am involved in community geriatrics at Bluebird Lodge. I am involved in acute geriatrics in our Frailty Assessment Base.
I have an interest in acute interface geriatrics as well as a keen interest in end of life care.
Elena Jamieson

I am a specialist in movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease, providing comprehensive geriatric assessment of older people at the hospital and in the community. I work with GPs, community based nurses and therapists in the Ipswich area and provide patient’s home visits when required.
My research interests are vascular and lewy body dementia. I am the adult safeguarding lead at the Ipswich Hospital, specialising in medico-legal aspects of patient’s care.

I joined Ipswich Hospital in 2016, having previously worked as a Consultant in East Kent and in Croydon.
I am involved in community geriatrics at Bluebird Lodge Community Hospital and the Reactive Emergency Assessment Community Team.
I also provide care home in-reach into local care homes, working alongside the CCG.

I currently work at the Constable suite at Ipswich Hospital, the Frailty Assessment Base and in the community at Aldeburgh community hospital and surrounding area.
I have a special interest in dementia, frailty and interface geriatrics. I am also a member of the Parkinson’s Team.
