Video appointments using MyChart
There are a number of ways that we can offer you an appointment, including over video.
Video consultations are easy to use and are often more convenient – saving you time and money.
The decision to offer this type of appointment will be made by a medical professional and will depend on your individual care needs.
Our video appointments will mainly be held through our MyChart patient portal.
How it works
- your clinician will decide if a video consultation is suitable for your care
- you will receive a letter confirming your video visit appointment date and time
- the link for the visit will be sent to the email address we have on file for you
- if you already have a MyChart account it will be sent to your account as well
What you need
- a valid email address so we can send you the video link
- a device with internet access plus enabled camera and mic (smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer)
- you won’t be able to join the call any earlier than 15 minutes before your appointment time, but please check your device is working ready for your call
How the call works
Your video appointment will be on Teams. You won’t need to download the Teams app, but more information about Teams and whether your device is compatible is available on the Microsoft website.
