Screening in pregnancy

All screening tests offered are free.  It is your choice if you wish to have screening, and, if so, which screening tests you would like.

The UK government have produced a  leaflet – Screening tests for you and your baby, which explains what options are available for screening in pregnancy.

You should have received a paper copy of this leaflet at home. You can also get a copy from your midwife, or read it on the UK Government’s website.

Your midwife or GP will discuss each test with you and will be able to answer any questions you may have.
