Staff NHS staff identity badge
All staff must wear a photo ID card while on duty.
The card will also give you access to areas you need to visit while at work.
The ID badge team will contact your line manager when they are ready to issue your card.

Staff corporate induction
All staff must complete a corporate induction.
It will include the following topics:
- fire safety
- information governance.
- infection prevention and control
Staff pay information
Pay day at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust is the 26 of each month.
Remember to visit the Electronic Staff Record Portal (ESR) before you start working with us. You will need to check your personal details are correct and add your next-of-kin details.
Information about how to access the portal is in your recruitment pack.
Within three days of your start date, log on to ESR using a Trust device and input your bank details. This is a secure way to give us your bank details and it will make sure we pay you on time.

Staff training and education
Your Electronic Staff Record (ESR) has all the role essential training assigned to you. Most of the courses will be e-learning. Some colleagues may still have classroom-based sessions to attend.
On the homepage of ESR you will see a portlet called My Compliance. This will list all your outstanding training. Our mandatory training policy covers all the particulars for this process.
When you have a confirmed start date you will be able to log in to complete your training. Please complete your mandatory training as soon as possible after you start. You must be up to date within your first three months.
Laerdal is a company that provides our adult and paediatric life support training. They will email you training details. The email address used is the one on ESR, so please make sure it is correct. Basic Life Support training (BLS) includes e-learning and practical assessments.
If you are joining us from another Trust, we can transfer the training you have already completed. Providing it is compatible with our training.
There is also a preceptorship programme in place for newly qualified clinical staff.

Uniforms
If you need to wear a uniform at work, your line manager will be in touch with details before your start date.
They will order your uniform and make sure it is ready for you when you start.
