Work experience opportunities
We recognise that work experience is an invaluable way to gain insight into the NHS and its careers. Anyone living in the CO and IP postcode areas can take up a work experience opportunity. However, some areas will have age restrictions.
We accept applications for work experience on all our hospital sites.
Types of work experience
We can support with the following type of work experience placements:
Clinical Work Experience: A short-term unpaid observation only placement. Applicants will be able to shadow a professional. They can ask questions and gain insights into their career of interest.
Administration Work Experience: A short-term unpaid placement. Applicants have the opportunity to observe and take part in various duties. They can gain experience in Finance, Human Resources, Communications, and other areas.
