Nick Hulme, Chief Executive for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust said:
“We can confirm that sadly, seven patients, four in their 80’s, two in their 90’s and one in their late 70’s, six of whom had underlying health conditions, have passed away at Colchester Hospital. Two patients have passed away at Ipswich Hospital, one patient was in their 80’s and one was in their 60’s and both had underlying health conditions. They had tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
