Nick Hulme, Chief Executive for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust said:
“We can confirm that sadly five patients, three in their 80’s and the other in their 90’s who all had underlying health conditions, have passed away at Colchester Hospital. One patient has passed away at Ipswich Hospital who was in their late 50’s and had underlying health conditions. They had tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
