Nick Hulme, Chief Executive for East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, said:
“We can confirm that 13 patients, two in their 90s, four in their 80s, five in their 70s, one in their 60s and one in their 20s, 12 of these patients had underlying health conditions, have sadly passed away at Ipswich Hospital. Eight patients have sadly passed away at Colchester Hospital, one in their 90s and four in their 80s, and three in their 70’s all of whom had underlying health conditions. They had all tested positive for COVID-19.
“Our thoughts and condolences remain with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”
