Colchester Hospital

We run weekly clinics at Colchester Hospital.

If you have any concerns about your stoma, please contact us on 01206 742 009.

If you would like a review but have not seen us for over two years please ask your GP to refer you to our service.  The referral form is in the GP section of this website.

The stoma care nurses work from 8am-4pm Monday to Friday.

Basic stoma supplies out of hours can be found on Brightlingsea and Mersea Wards and the Urgent Treatment Centre.

The stoma care nurses visit patients on our wards who are admitted for emergency care and for surgery.

We will visit any patient who wants stoma care advice, even if you are not in hospital for a stoma-related problem.

We provide inpatient services and weekly outpatient clinics at Ipswich hospital.

If you have any concerns about your stoma or would like to talk to a stoma nurse please contact us on 01473 703 301.

We provide weekly outpatient clinics at Ipswich Hospital and we can visit you at your home if you are housebound.

The stoma care service is available Monday to Friday.

Essex community

The Colchester Hospital stoma care team covers Colchester, Tendring and Halstead areas.  The nurses visit care homes in this area and will visit at your home if you are housebound.

East Suffolk community

For East Suffolk patients there are 2 community Stoma Care Nurses who provide stoma care in the community.

To contact the Community Stoma Care nurses please contact the CCC on 0300 123 2425.
