Service Information

Chest and lungs

Chest and lungs service at ESNEFT

We diagnose and treat patients with chest and lung conditions including:

  • lung cancer
  • inflammatory conditions such as sarcoidosis
  • chronic lung diseases such as COPD
  • lung infections such as tuberculosis (TB)

In this department we also test and treat sleep apnoea.

For information about specific chest and lung conditions see the NHS Choices website (Opens in a new window).

When we receive your referral, we decide which tests and investigations you need.  We try to arrange for these tests to be performed before your clinic appointment so that we have all the information we need to make your treatment plan when we see you in clinic.

Please bring with you any inhalers that you use and a list of your current medications.
