Angelika Rohrig

Macmillan Therapeutic Family Practitioner

Ipswich Hospital

Hello, I am Angelika Rohrig. I provide emotional and psychological support to children and young people under 18 years old and their families when someone close to them has a cancer diagnosis.

I support families from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

I qualified as a social worker in 1986 and as a counsellor in 1994. I have worked in this role since 2015. Before that I worked as a counsellor in Addenbrookes hospital and in a specialist adoption team.

I usually suggest an initial meeting to discuss how I can best help. I can offer face to face sessions with children on their own or family sessions, I liaise with schools, I provide parenting advice and can refer and signpost to other agencies.
