Anticoagulant monitoring service

Anticoagulant monitoring

This service is provided at Ipswich Hospital only.

Anticoagulants are medicines that help prevent blood clots.

We give them to people at a high risk of getting clots, to reduce their chances of having a stroke or a heart attack.

We monitor patients who are on anticoagulants such as Warfarin.

Our service runs from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

The NHS Choices website has information about anticoagulants (opens in a new window).
