We experienced a temporary power outage at Ipswich Hospital on Friday 4 April. This is now resolved.
Mike Meers, Director of Operations for Ipswich Hospital, said: “We are aware of UK Power Network’s issue in the IP4 area, which affected Ipswich Hospital briefly this morning, Friday 4 April, causing our generators to take over.
“We are now back on mains power and are reviewing the situation regularly with UKPN. Some of our planned care services have been affected, but patients should to continue to attend the hospital for appointments. We had declared an incident, which has now been stood down.”
