Plan B to end – but hospital restrictions remain

National COVID-19 restrictions are due to be lifted in England from Thursday, 27 January, and although there will be lots of changes outside healthcare settings, all our existing Infection Prevention and Control guidance remains the same inside our hospitals.

Recent updates to government guidelines

We are still asking all patients, visitors, and our staff, to:

  • Wear a surgical face mask covering your nose and mouth at all times (unless you are medically exempt)
  • Wash and/or sanitise your hands regularly
  • Keep a safe distance from other people as much as possible

This is so we can continue to keep everyone safe in our hospitals.

Thank you for sticking with this guidance and for doing your bit to help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
