People from all walks of life are invited to join a new group at Colchester Hospital, aimed at improving patient experience.
The Colchester Hospital User Group will provide a voice for current and past patients, carers and communities.
Members will be encouraged to speak to patients on wards and in outpatient departments, representing them on different committees and working groups, while getting involved with surveys, projects and staff training.
The hospital’s patient experience team will be on hand to guide and support new members, expenses will be reimbursed and a vast knowledge of the NHS is not required.
“We are looking for motivated people from all walks of life, who have good communication skills and who are willing to get involved in a variety of ways,” said patient experience lead Sarah Higson.
