East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) is encouraging people to add their name to the organ donor register to celebrate its 30th birthday.
The Trust has joined forces with NHS Blood and Transplant to urge people to register their decision during Organ Donation Week, which runs until Sunday 29 September. The call comes as the organ donor register marks its 30th anniversary.
Every day, someone in the UK dies due to a shortage of people donating. Although there are currently around 7,000 people waiting for a transplant, only 1,400 people die in circumstances where organ donation is possible, which means that every donation is precious and can make a real difference.
To add your name to the register and confirm your decision, visit the NHS Blood and Transplant website.
