Christchurch Park will be awash with colour on Saturday 28 September when Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity hosts its first ever fundraising colour run.
The event will see runners, walkers and joggers given the chance to take part in either a 1km or 5km route, during which they’ll be showered in environmentally-friendly coloured powder. Finishers will also receive a medal to celebrate their achievement.
The event will raise funds for staff and patients at East Suffolk and North Essex Foundation Trust (ESNEFT).
Jo Rawlings, ESNEFT’s wellbeing administrator, is taking part alongside colleagues. She said: “We’re really looking forward to the colour run. It’s so important that staff at ESNEFT have access to facilities which support their wellbeing. As a team we see first-hand the difference this makes so are hoping to fundraise as much as possible to improve resources for our colleagues.”
