Join our Board and help shape our future

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) is appealing for people from a wide variety of diverse communities to help steer its future direction by applying for a position on the Trust’s Board.

The Trust, which runs Colchester and Ipswich hospitals together with a range of community health services, is looking for one non-executive director (NED) and two associate non-executive directors. It is especially keen to hear from women and people from minority ethnic backgrounds, who are currently under-represented on the Board.

The successful candidates will share responsibility with their fellow NEDS and ESNEFT’s executive directors for the Trust’s strategic leadership, direction, governance and overall success in delivering healthcare and improving the health of local people.

They will need to dedicate two to three days a month to the role and will be paid £13,000 a year.

Helen Taylor, ESNEFT chair, said: “This is a really exciting time to consider a non-executive role within our organisation.

“Our Board is committed to reflecting the diverse community we work with and serve. I would strongly encourage women and people from minority ethnic backgrounds who are currently under-represented on our Board to apply so that we can make sure the views of everyone are heard.”

The roles are being advertised on the NHS England website (opens in new tab).

Applications close on 9 December.
