Ipswich Hospital parking area to temporarily close

Don’t forget that a visitor parking area at Ipswich Hospital will be closing from this weekend (6 August onwards) to make way for a new state-of-the-art breast care centre for patients.

An administration block for medics and their teams is being situated in part of car park G (outside the neonatal unit and maternity building). As a result, three rows of visitor car parking will be out of action for a number of weeks while the ground works take place and the admin block is sited.

The whole car park will be closed between 6 and 8 August. Once the block is in place, one of the rows will become available again.

As fewer visitors are coming onto site, there is alternative spaces for visitor car parking, including car park B which is just opposite.

Opening the new administration block for our clinical teams will create a space in the main hospital building for the new breast care centre.

Thank you for your patience as the works take place.
