East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) are developing a new Trust-wide travel strategy. Every few years the Trust looks at how staff and patients use transport to reach our hospital sites. The data allows our travel planning teams to see where their focus needs to be when the Trust starts any long-term developments.
To help inform this work, we are asking patients and visitors to share their experiences of travelling to and from our hospital sites. The survey aims to build a better understanding of how people travel to appointments and visits.
Your feedback will help us identify opportunities to improve travel and transport support for patients, visitors and staff. Your experiences will also help with future planning and developments across our hospital sites.
Tim Hewes, ESNEFT’s Energy and Sustainability Manager, said: “We really appreciate patients, visitors and members of the public taking the time to share their views with us. Every journey to hospital is different. This survey gives us an opportunity to better understand what matters most to the people who use our services.
“Whether it’s access to public transport, parking, active travel options or the overall experience of getting to an appointment, the feedback we receive will help us identify where improvements can be made. The insights gathered will play an important role in shaping our future travel plans and ensuring we can support the needs of our communities as effectively as possible.”
Alongside dedicated travel plans for Colchester and Ipswich hospitals; your feedback will help support our Green Plan and long-term commitment to reducing carbon emissions and achieving net zero targets.
The survey is being carried out on behalf of ESNEFT by Lawson Planning Partnership Ltd (LPP). No personal data will be collected, and all responses will be used solely for travel planning purposes.
