Heavy rain this afternoon has resulted in significant flooding in the North End of Ipswich Hospital.
Interim Chief Executive Adrian Marr said: “Heavy rain this afternoon has resulted in flooding at Ipswich Hospital. We are currently working to understand the extent of the impact on our building and services and how long the clean up will take.
“No patients or staff have been harmed as a result of this flooding, but it is possible that we may need to move or postpone appointments for patients tomorrow, but we will be in contact with anyone who this may affect directly. Visitors to the hospital may be asked to divert to other entrances or around corridors this evening and in the morning (3 June).”
