Building works for two weeks in car park F at Ipswich Hospital

A footpath diversion will be in place in car park F at Ipswich Hospital for two weeks in February 2022 to help pedestrians while some building work takes place.

This is the patient and visitor car park straight ahead as vehicles drive onto the hospital site from the main Heath Road entrance.

From Wednesday (February 16), we are also asking drivers to make use of nearby cark parks D, J and B if car park F is busy.

The pavement by the main outpatients building and a section of car park F will be out of use as builders start the foundation work to build a permanent canopy from the main outpatients building to the Vanguard Theatre Units (a temporary theatre facility). The canopy will provide shelter for patients as they go to and from the theatres. The diversion will keep pedestrians safe.

There are a number of big building projects going on at Ipswich Hospital with millions of pounds being invested to make sure our patients have the best possible environments.

Please bear with us – the disruption is only short-term and we will be hugely improving the access and experience hospital as a result.
