Heart and lung testing at ESNEFT

In this department we do many tests to provide doctors with information about your heart and lungs. The tests are non-invasive which means they are not performed in a theatre setting.

You will receive an appointment letter for any tests that you need.

The results will go back to the doctor that referred you.

We undertake the following tests:

• Lung Function Test
• Exercise Tolerance Test
• Echocardiogram
• Electrocardiogram (ECG)
• 24 hour tape/Cardiocall
• Pacing Follow Up

You may need tests in other departments such as:

• X-rays
• CT or MRI Scans
• Blood tests

Clacton Community Diagnostic Centre

The Diagnostic Centre entrance is to the left of the main foyer at Clacton Hospital.

The department is open from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Friday.
