Meet the haematology consultants

I am a Consultant Haematologist, dealing with a wide range of illnesses. I was appointed clinical director for Cancer, Women and Children’s services at Ipswich Hospital in September 2015.

I have been in post since 2004 and I am the current Head of Department and lymphoma lead.

I deal with all aspects of haematological disorders other than lymphoma.  My specialist interests include bleeding and thrombotic disorders, pregnancy related haematological disorders and myeloma. I am Chairman of Hospital thrombosis Group.

I have worked at the Trust since April 2001.

I am part of the team currently working towards JACIE accreditation for the hospital autologous stem cell transplantation program. Involvement in clinical trials is important, the hospital hopes to be in a position to offer patients entry into clinical trials in the main lymphoma subtypes in the near future.

I have worked at the Trust since August 2015.

I have been a Consultant Haematologist at Ipswich Hospital since 2006. I trained in London and Cambridge and my research fellowship and MD from UCL London were in coagulation in Von Willebrand’s disease.

I welcome referrals and I am happy to give advice in all aspects of general haematology, in particular for patients with bleeding or thrombotic problems. My qualifications are FRCP, MD and FRCPath.

I have been a NHS consultant since 2014 and joined the team at Colchester in December 2017. My haematology training was based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge.

I deal with all aspects of haematological disorders and have developed specialist interest in lymphoma.

I am a Consultant in Haematology at ESNEFT, based at Ipswich Hospital.  I am also Senior Clinical Tutor at the University of Cambridge and Haematology Module Lead (Ipswich) at the University of East Anglia.

My clinical interests are:

• Lymphoproliferative disorders
• Genomics
• Peripheral blood and bone marrow morphology (AI and image analytics)
• Undergraduate and Post graduate Medical Education

I have been a Consultant haematologist since 2011 and had worked at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust before joining Colchester Hospital in February 2018.

I have a wide and varied experience in managing patients with blood disorders, gained through training at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospitals in London. I have developed specialist interest in the areas of thrombosis, myeloproliferative disorders and red cell disorders.

I have forged strong links with other national experts in these fields allowing patients access to clinical trials and expert opinions whenever necessary.
