As part of the work to redevelop the main entrance at Colchester Hospital, the toilets in the existing main reception are now closed – these were on the left hand side of the corridor approaching the Pharmacy counter.
The nearest available public toilets are now at the end of the T-junction, where the main corridor splits, and a disabled toilet is just inside the Outpatients waiting area. A Changing Places facility is also accessible if needed, just let a member of staff know.
The closure is in place until 29 November when a bank of new and improved toilets will open in the new main entrance.
You may have also noticed some London plane trees have been removed in-between the site’s north and south entrance recently, but these will be replaced in the coming weeks.
