Urgent and Emergency Care
Work began in 2019 with the introduction of the Urgent Treatment Centre and a new main entrance at the front of the hospital.
It continues… We are redesigning the urgent and emergency departments to help with rising numbers of patients. We are expanding our resuscitation area and the children’s Emergency Department.
Frailty and acute medical same day emergency care teams to be co-located to work together and help patients get home sooner. We are creating a new surgical assessment unit with extra beds.
