Visiting child patients on our wards

Information for people on attending appointments and visiting ESNEFT hospitals

Now that we have gone into another national lockdown, we have once again reviewed our visiting policy and arrangements for attending appointments at ESNEFT.

Visiting and attendance at appointments in exceptional/compassionate circumstances, as well as carer responsibilities, can continue but the following guidance now applies due to significant Coronavirus (COVID-19) rates in our hospitals and local community:

Children’s Services

  • One parent/carer may stay with a child in hospital.
  • Parents/carers within the same support bubble may substitute each other but can’t visit at the same time.
  • Unfortunately siblings and other family members cannot visit.

Your ward team will be able to give you more information about how to stay safe.

Remember Hands. Face. Space.

When in hospital, wash your hands regularly, wear a face mask and follow social distancing guidance.

If you have any questions, please call the children’s department caring for your child.
