Attending outpatient appointments during COVID-19
We are committed to reducing the spread of COVID-19 and keeping everyone safe when they are in our hospitals and using our services.
When you come for your outpatient appointment you will see we still have some safety measures in place.
The staff caring for you will be using personal protective equipment such as face masks, gloves and aprons.
We are still encouraging social distancing as much as we can and have fewer seats in waiting areas. Our hospitals and services are being cleaned regularly and staff are trained in minimising the risk of infection as much as possible.
Coming for an outpatient appointment
Please arrive no sooner than five minutes before your appointment time.
If you need support at your appointment you are welcome to bring one person with you. They may be asked to wait elsewhere during your clinical consultation.
Please change your face mask/covering on arrival to a new surgical face mask provided at our entrances.
Hand sanitiser will be available for you to use at our main entrances and throughout the department too. The staff caring for you will show you where to sit and wait for your consultation.
If you have any symptoms of COVID-19, or you think you may have the virus, please call the number on your appointment letter to let us know because your appointment may need to be rescheduled.Back to top
