Meet the fertility consultants

I was appointed as a consultant at Ipswich Hospital in May 2015.

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2003 and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2006. I completed a seven-year specialist training programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in January 2015.

My main area of interest is the investigation and management of infertile couples. I have spent more than three years gaining experience in the field of reproductive medicine and assisted conception in Salisbury and Southampton.

I have introduced a service for Fallopian tubal testing using ultrasound at Ipswich Hospital. I am working in close collaboration with Cambridge IVF to introduce assisted conception treatments to Ipswich Hospital including intrauterine insemination and satellite IVF.

I am a Consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Ipswich Hospital. I have advanced training in subfertility and reproductive health. I joined ESNEFT’s Fertility Monitoring Unit in February 2022.

I graduated from Glasgow University medical school in 2009. I completed obstetrics and gynaecology training (Certificate of Completion of Training) in London. During this time, I completed advanced training in subfertility and reproductive health at Barts Health Centre for Reproductive Medicine. I also completed clinical fellowship in reproductive medicine at Barts Health Centre.

I became a member of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015. I was enrolled in the specialist register of the General Medical Council in 2021.

I worked and gained experience in many NHS assisted conception clinics in London.

I have a strong interest in research, especially in fibroid and oocyte cryopreservation. I have published in peer reviewed journals.

My area of expertise includes:

• fertility investigations and treatment
• early pregnancy and acute gynaecology
• ultrasound scanning
• minimally invasive surgeries

I have experience in setting up one stop and nurse led fertility clinics. I am committed to the continuous development and service improvement of the unit.

My passion is to provide the best personalised care for patients, while being compassionate and supportive to their emotional well-being.
