The Cancer Wellbeing Centre Accessibility information from AccessAble

The centre offers a non-clinical and relaxing environment in a tranquil lakeside setting. The building was funded entirely by community donations to Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity’s Cancer Campaign.

The service provided by the centre includes:

  • specialist information and advice
  • counselling services
  • complementary therapies
  • physical activity services
  • hair and skincare advice
  • dietary advice
  • practical support
  • benefits advice and signposting
  • a venue for self help and support groups

At times when we have insufficient team capacity to safely meet the needs of people walking in to the centres, we will close the front doors and instead clearly invite people to access us via other routes that will remain available – telephone or email. Patients arriving for pre-booked appointments will be welcomed as usual by their therapist / counsellor

Outside the centre’s open times, contact details and forms will be available outside the centres and the phones will go to answerphone so that we can arrange to call people back as soon as possible.
